Huge painting by the renowned artist Pierre Gaste.
Graduated from the Fine Arts of Angers in 1962. He became the Professor of Fine Arts in Angoulême from 1984 to 2003. He won the Prix Fénéon de peinture in 1969. 1st Drawing Prize at the Salon de Montrouge in 1977.
He made a painting on three stretched frames of 6.50m developed by 3.60m high for the hall of the Vermont building in La Défense (Architect: Philippe Boyer) in 1988. He lived, drew and painted, mainly, in Maine-et-Loire.
Sadly Gaste passed away earlier this year and so the painting is of huge significance.
